Alphonse Elric, commonly known as Al by his peers, is the deuteragonist of the manga Fullmetal Alchemist; he also appears in the original anime and Brotherhood series. The younger brother of Edward Elric, Alphonse is a young boy who lost his body due to a failed Human Transmutation to restore his mother to life. Still, Edward managed to attach his soul to a suit of armor. For that reason, Ed and Al were determined to restore their original selfs through a series of events in each incarnation of the saga. Alphonse also appears in the second Heroes vs. Villains War, where he fights the forces of evil, alongside with his brother and newfound allies.
