Asami Sato is a secondary heroine in the Nickelodeon's television series, Avatar: The Legend of Korra. The daughter of eccentric businessman Hiroshi Sato, Asami appears as a kind and sweet woman, although she appears to be tough and strong in critical situations. She detests her father's work and relationship with the Equalists, a faction which fought against benders, and activately fights against them. Over the progress of the series, she joins forces with the heroes in many adventures. She appears in the Non-Disney Villains Tournament, in a much more central role.

- In the Non-Disney Villains Tournament, Asami's mother is revealed to be Lust, a villainess from the anime series, Fullmetal Alchemist, rather than Yazuko in the original portrayal. This is made by the creator of the series, as he wants to emphasize and compare the similiarities between the two characters.
- Coincidentally, Asami's design and appearance was influenced and inspired by Lust.
